The number of sole proprietorships creating jobs has increased in Ukraine
In Ukraine, the number of FOPs that hire employees increased by 9% over the year. About this informs “opendatab”.
According to his data, 673 thousand employees work for 259 thousand entrepreneurs – this is 13% less than before the full-scale war. The dynamics of the number of hired workers does not always correlate with the number of active entrepreneurs and the course of hostilities in the country. Thus, during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021, the number of employees decreased by 11%, although the number of entrepreneurs themselves almost did not change (a decrease of 822 persons).
The largest number of FOPs with hired workers is registered in the Dnipropetrovsk region — 24,000 or 9% of the total number. The second and third places were shared by Kyiv and Lviv region – 23 thousand entrepreneurs in each region.
Compared to the pre-war period, the largest increase in the number of such FOPs was recorded in Rivne region and Khmelnytsky region — by 26%. They increased by 25% in Chernivtsi region, and by 24% in Volyn and Zhytomyr regions.
At the same time, the number of FOPs with employees decreased by 9% in the Mykolaiv region and by 4% in the Odesa region. Also, the reduction is expected to be recorded in the frontline and partially occupied regions.
