The Russian Federation attacked Zaporizhzhia: 21 victims are known
As a result of the massive air attack that Russian troops carried out on Zaporizhzhia late in the evening of September 22, residential quarters of the city were damaged. By message police of the Zaporizhia region, the enemy fired a series of rockets at Zaporizhzhia and its surroundings in the period from 22:30 to 23:00. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out that engulfed private houses and farm buildings, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure.
According to preliminary data, several buildings in the private sector of the city were damaged during the shelling. The police also said that the type of ammunition used by the enemy during the attack is currently being established.
It is known about the death of one man. In addition, the secretary of the Zaporizhia City Council, Regina Kharchenko, noted that five people were injured during the shelling, including a 13-year-old girl.
Later, information was received about an increase in the number of victims to 21 people. By in words Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, among the injured are 13 women and 8 men who sought medical help. Most of them received mine-explosive injuries. After providing first aid, many of them were sent home for further treatment.
As of the morning of September 23, two women remain in hospitals: a 94-year-old and a 23-year-old patient who are in a moderate condition.
