The Russians attacked the university in Sumy with aerial bombs: one person was injured

On the evening of September 3, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on one of the universities in the city of Sumy. About this reported the press service of the Sumy Regional Military Administration in Telegram. According to preliminary data, the Russians used a guided aerial bomb to carry out the strike.

Rescue workers and other relevant services are working at the scene to determine the scale of the destruction. The Sumy City Council added that at least one person was injured as a result of the attack. The man received minor injuries, he was immediately provided with medical assistance.

The rector of Sumy State University, Vasyl Karpusha, in a comment for “Suspilny”, said that the blow fell on building M, which is used for educational and sports activities.

“This is a completely civilian building, with a wrestling hall located below”, – noted the rector.

He also confirmed that no one was inside at the time of the explosion, and the only guard who was nearby was very shocked, but refused medical help.

At 21:33, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned of the possibility of an attack on Sumy with the use of guided air bombs.
