The Supreme Court rejected Yermak’s defense request to remove the electronic bracelet.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has refused to grant the motion of the defense of the former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak to change the preventive measure. Therefore, he will continue to be obliged to wear an electronic monitoring device.

“On June 29, the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court refused to grant the motion of the defense of the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine to change the preventive measure, namely, to cancel the obligation to wear an electronic monitoring device”, — the press service of the High Anti-Corruption Court reported.

Earlier, the court applied a preventive measure to Yermak in the form of detention with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of 140 million UAH. After posting bail, he was released from custody, while leaving a number of procedural obligations, including wearing an electronic bracelet.

Yermak is suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part Three of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – legalization of property obtained by criminal means.

Thus, the preventive measure for the former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine remained unchanged, and the investigation into the case is ongoing.
