Sweden does not plan to immediately send its troops to Ukraine, but is ready to consider such a possibility if a clear offer from NATO member states appears.
About this stated Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonson, Breaking Defense reports.
According to him, during the summit in Paris at the beginning of the year, the allied countries did not reach a consensus on sending troops to Ukraine.
“There is currently no specific offer. If it appears, a clear offer, we can consider it“, the minister emphasized.
It is important to note that Sweden and Finland have recently applied for NATO membership and are expected to be accepted in the near future.
