The TV channel “Rada” stopped participating in the telethon “United News”

The state-owned TV channel “Rada” stopped broadcasting the national telethon “United News” on January 1, 2026. The day before, on December 29 and 30, 2025, the channel also did not air within the marathon, and on December 31, it showed only the final news broadcast. This is evidenced by the monitoring of the “Media Detector”.

One of the possible explanations for such a decision is the bureaucratic procedures associated with budget programs that allocate funds for content production. At the same time, the production company “Kinokit”, which is responsible for producing content for “Rada”, is also currently not working.

As of the evening of January 7, the “Rada” TV channel was not in the usual slots of the telethon. Previously, the channel’s broadcast within “Yedynye Novyy” took place every Monday from 6:00 to 12:00, on Tuesday from 12:00 to 18:00 and every Wednesday from 18:00 to 00:00.

According to sources, the channel is not officially announcing the temporary suspension of participation in the marathon, as it expects to return to the air in the coming weeks.

The content producer for “Rada”, the company “Kinokit”, has not yet resumed work. The editor-in-chief of “Kinokit” LLC, Nataliya Yastrubenko, did not provide comments when asked by journalists. The acting director of the TV channel, Vyacheslav Petrenko, also did not answer the question on the merits, only noting that the channel had already provided written answers to similar requests.
