Former head of the White House, US presidential candidate Donald Trump said that he could stop Russia’s war in Ukraine. For this, it is necessary to influence Ukraine to give up a certain part of its territory. This is reported The Washington Post citing people close to Trump who have discussed the matter with him in private conversations.
Trump’s proposal is to push Ukraine to hand over Crimea and Donbas to Russia. He believes that this will allow to settle the situation and ensure peace and stability in Ukraine. According to one of Trump’s interlocutors, the former head of the White House is sure that Russia and Ukraine “want to save face, they want an exit,” and that people in some parts of Ukraine would agree to be part of Russia.
Trump also emphasized the importance of diplomatic efforts in resolving the conflict and called on the international community to join the peacemaking process. He expressed the hope that his plan will contribute to the restoration of peaceful life for the Ukrainian people and help restore the country’s territorial integrity.
