‘They sell their homes and leave”: MP tells how many children left Ukraine before the new school year

About 300,000 children left Ukraine before the start of this school year, which became an alarming signal for the country. People’s deputy from the “European Solidarity” party, Nina Yuzhanina, stated this during a broadcast on Novena.Live.

She noted that many families do not see a stable future in Ukraine, which prompts them to decide to sell property and move abroad, in particular to Poland. She emphasized that the lack of a clear action plan from the authorities for the coming seasons, including issues of military operations and economic stability, forces people to make such radical decisions.

“Today people live here, and tomorrow they sell their apartment, house, property and leave. Well, the nearest is to Poland.”Yuzhanina said.

According to her, before the start of the 2024 school year, about 300,000 children left Ukraine, which causes serious concern. This situation shows that citizens do not receive enough information and clear signals from the government regarding future prospects.

Earlier, the Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi also drew attention to the fact that many high school students, especially boys, go abroad. The Ministry tries in various ways to encourage them to stay in Ukraine, in particular by offering quality higher and professional education, which can contribute to their desire to stay in the country.
