Ukraine introduces whitelist regime for Starlink
A whitelist mode is being introduced in Ukraine for Starlink terminals to ensure stable operation of the service and prevent its use by the enemy. At the same time, the state is introducing a whitelist mode for terminals. All devices that fail verification will be disabled, so owners need to confirm the right to use their terminal. This is reported by Diia.
The verification procedure is one-time and is carried out online through the Diia portal. To submit an application, users need to prepare terminal data and Starlink account number. The document is signed by the CEP and automatically sent to the Ministry of Digital Economy. After verification, confirmed devices are added to the white list.
A limit of no more than 10 terminals is set for legal entities, while for critical enterprises the limit does not apply. The procedure covers individuals, sole proprietors, and companies.
A separate secure confirmation algorithm is in place for the Defense Forces. Currently, the service is already available for legal entities on the “Diya” portal, and for sole proprietors and individuals – in the Central Administrative Center.
It is noted that the first group of terminals included in the white list is already functioning, and the list itself is updated daily.
