Ukraine will receive aid from the US every two to three weeks: Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced an agreement with US President Joe Biden on regular supplies of military aid to Ukraine. He said that packages of weapons will arrive approximately every two to three weeks.

In his interview with Ukrainian TV channels, which was broadcast as part of the Yedyni Novyny telethon on October 18, Zelenskyy noted that he could not disclose all the details of the agreement, but the amount of assistance is expected to be significant — from half a billion to 750 million dollars for one package .

The head of state emphasized the importance of prompt receipt of this aid, as it is critically needed for Ukraine in the coming months. According to him, this will contribute to the significant strengthening of the country’s defense capabilities and the implementation of the Victory Plan.

The day before, US President Joe Biden announced the allocation of another aid package in the amount of 425 million dollars. This package includes hundreds of interceptors for air defense, dozens of tactical air defense systems, additional artillery installations, ammunition, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, as well as thousands of armored vehicles. The supply of weapons is expected in the coming months, which will ensure a significant strengthening of the Ukrainian military.
