“Ukrainian armored vehicles” presented a new armored car “Varta 2”
At the International Defense Industry Exhibition MSPO 2024 in Kielce, Poland, the company “Ukrainian Armored Vehicles” presented its new armored car “Varta 2”. As informs the press service of the company, this combat armored vehicle is based on the Base chassis and has a total weight of 14 tons, capable of developing speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour.
“Varta 2” is a completely new machine, developed taking into account the ten-year experience of the company, the needs of the military and the requirements of modern warfare. The armored vehicle can carry up to 10 crew members and is equipped with a combat module “Sich” with a 30 mm automatic cannon, which provides it with powerful firepower to support infantry and destroy enemy armored vehicles. – noted the general director of Ukrainian armored vehicles LLC.
The armored car meets the NATO ballistic protection class STANAG 3, and also has anti-mine protection 3a/3b. To ensure the maximum level of safety of the crew, “Varta 2” is equipped with mine-resistant seats, modern safety systems, as well as a suspended floor system that protects against overloads in case of detonation.
The vehicle is equipped with light-masking systems and an integrated air filtration system that protects the military from chemical and biological threats. The “ICoMWare” hardware and software complex installed in “Varta 2” provides situational awareness and information support to the unit commander through a secure Mesh network using broadband DTC radio stations.
Thanks to the independent suspension and the CTIS system, “Varta 2” is able to maintain high speed and overcome difficult obstacles, which makes it a reliable and powerful tool for the Ukrainian military in the most difficult combat conditions.
