“Ukrnafta” plans to complete the drilling of 25 wells and start work on seven new ones by the end of the year. This is reported on the website of JSC “Ukrnafta”.
“Until 2022, “Ukrnafta” drilled only 1-2 wells per year. In 2025, we plan to complete 25 wells and start 7 new ones. Today, new wells provide about 30% of the company’s additional production. This is the result of teamwork and partnership with contractors and suppliers. In 2026, we plan to continue increasing the drilling rate, Yuriy Tkachuk, the acting chairman of the board of JSC Ukrnafta, said. The company reported that outdated equipment is being consistently replaced with modern equipment in accordance with the international standards of the American Petroleum Institute. Production intensification programs are being actively implemented, including hydraulic fracturing (traditional and acid) and flow-diverting technologies that increase the efficiency of wells. Since Ukrnafta has a large well fund that requires constant maintenance, every year the company repairs about 130 km of pipelines, updates equipment for major repairs of wells, purchases modern special equipment, modernizes hoists and repair units, ” — added Tkachuk.
At the end of 2022, the company had a significant fleet of outdated equipment, but after the transition to state management, it updated more than 700 units of special equipment — about half of the total need. Currently, “Ukrnafta” is developing a new area of activity — electricity generation. The company is implementing projects to launch gas turbine and gas piston units, which will provide additional capacity for the energy system of Ukraine.
