An unusual meeting took place near the “Sonyachna Dolina” sanatorium near Mukachevo in Transcarpathia: representatives of the territorial procurement center visited assembly of krishnaites. While interacting with worshipers who chanted mantras and chants, the military handed some of them summonses to clarify the data.
The incident caused a lively reaction from those present. One of the passers-by actively stood up for the Krishnaites, trying to drive away the TCC employees. However, some members of the religious organization were still taken to the Military Commissariat, where they continued their chanting. Krishna supporters gathered near the TCC building, expressing their support for their co-religionists.
“Gone from here! Where did you come? Who do you want to take away? These are God’s people! Get out of here.” – one of the people present next to the gathering of Krishnaites said to the soldier, driving him away from them. While the TCC was interacting with the Krishnaite men, the rest of the sect’s followers loudly sang their songs. Others argued with the military.
