The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to raise natural gas prices for enterprises that produce electricity at thermal power plants, thermal power plants, gas turbines and gas piston installations. The corresponding changes are fixed by Resolution No. 1306, which extended the effect of imposing special duties on the gas market until March 31, 2026.
For thermal power plants operating in the heating cycle, as well as for gas turbine and gas piston plants that produce electric and thermal energy in a combined way, the price of gas supplied by Naftogaz Trading increases from UAH 18,000 to UAH 21,000 per thousand cubic meters.
For thermal power plants and thermal power plants that produce electricity in the condensation cycle, as well as for gas turbine and gas piston plants that generate exclusively electrical energy, the price increases from UAH 14,000 to UAH 16,000 per thousand cubic meters.
In addition, the government has introduced a new special obligation for the gas transportation system operator — the company must import 340 million cubic meters of gas by the end of the heating season. At the same time, the cost of natural gas for the population remains unchanged: until the end of April 2026, it is fixed at UAH 7.96 per cubic meter, including VAT.
