NABU and SAP exposed the deputy general director of the “Atomenergomash” branch of JSC “NAEKG “Energoatom” in requesting and receiving illegal benefits from a representative of a contracting company.
According to the investigation, the official demanded monthly “interest” from the representative of a private enterprise for timely payment for work performed under contract agreements and for not obstructing the fulfillment of contractual obligations. The amount of “reward” was from 10% to 15% of the cost of the work.
In the period from June to November 2025, the official received an illegal benefit in the total amount of about UAH 1.67 million (equivalent to USD 40,200). The total amount of the bribe she demanded exceeded UAH 6.6 million.
The official was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. The actions were qualified under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “receiving an illegal benefit by an official in an especially large amount”.
We remind you that in accordance with Part One of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of conviction.
