The Ukrainian state agency for the regulation of gambling and lotteries PlayCity announced a tender for the creation of a state system of online monitoring of gambling and began accepting proposals. The expected purchase price is 30 million hryvnias.
“This tool is critical for the reform of the gambling sphere. The state will be able to see the volume of monetary transactions on the gambling market and, accordingly, understand how much tax is payable, said the head of PlayCity Gennadiy Novikov.
Registries in the field of gambling are planned to be integrated into the State online monitoring system, which will make it possible to check data on organizers in real time. Thanks to this, the system will provide control over the volume of financial transactions on the gambling market and will allow determining the amount of taxes that must be paid.
It is expected that detinization of the industry will annually bring up to UAH 10 billion to the state budget. The government plans to use these revenues to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities, including the purchase of drones for the Defense Forces.
IT companies with experience in creating complex digital solutions are invited to participate in the tender.
The online monitoring system will perform the following functions:
- will track financial flows and gross income of operators in real time;
- will capture data from gaming equipment;
- will control the winning percentage of slot machines;
- will verify market information;
- will keep data backups.
The system is planned to be launched by the end of this year. You can submit an application for participation in the tender until September 10.
