PrivatBank received a fine of UAH 10 million
The National Bank of Ukraine took measures to influence three banks and two non-banking financial institutions due to violations of legislation in the field of anti-money laundering. About this reported NBU press office.
The state-owned PrivatBank, the country’s largest bank, received a fine of 10 million hryvnias for failing to comply with customer due diligence requirements, including those in the high-risk category.
In addition to the fine, PrivatBank was also given a written warning for violating risk management procedures and not conducting additional checks on clients who are politically significant persons, their relatives or related persons.
“Alliance Bank” JSC was fined 15.05 million hryvnias for non-compliance with the requirements of enhanced verification of high-risk clients, insufficient monitoring of financial transactions and provision of false information.
Another bank, JSC “Asvio Bank”, will pay a fine of 2.45 million hryvnias due to failure to implement a risk-oriented approach in its work and deficiencies in customer verification.
