The Cabinet of Ministers is introducing a single standard of VLK for all units of the Defense Forces
The government announced the streamlining of military medical commissions and the introduction of a single standard of medical examinations for all units of the Defense Forces. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko after the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“We are streamlining the work of the VLK – we are providing a single inspection standard for all Defense Forces. From now on, the rules of military medical examination of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will apply to the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Border Service, the National Guard and the UDO, the message says.
All these structures will use a single Schedule of Diseases to determine fitness for duty. Medical examinations will be carried out in our own medical institutions, and in their absence – in civilian hospitals on the basis of concluded contracts.
In addition, a simplification of the procedure for passing medical and military medical examinations, in particular in a remote format, is foreseen for servicemen and victims who are being treated abroad for a long time (12 months or more) and cannot undergo an examination in Ukraine.
We remind you that a new procedure for serving summonses is in effect in Ukraine: from now on, a document sent by mail is considered officially received, which makes it impossible to evade mobilization. According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 916 dated July 30, 2025, summonses for sending to the place of military service can be sent by registered mail. Previously, such subpoenas were served exclusively in person, under signature.
