The deputy head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration was sentenced to 8 years for bribery
On March 6, 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court convicted the deputy head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, who was detained for attempting to receive a bribe of 1.8 million hryvnias, and sentenced him to 8 years and 2 months of imprisonment. About this informs NABU press office.
“By the court verdict, the official was found guilty of committing the crime provided for in Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced to 8 years and 2 months of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state authorities for a period of 3 years and confiscation of the “Toyota Avensis” car. – says the message.
The investigation established that in June 2023, the official together with another deputy head of the OVA demanded 1.8 million hryvnias from the businessman. This money was supposed to be a reward for making payments of the debt of the regional administration to the company for the works performed in 2022, as well as for assistance in concluding new contracts and financing existing contracts.
The court’s verdict enters into legal force thirty days after its announcement, unless it is appealed. The materials regarding another deputy were allocated to a separate proceeding, but his consideration was suspended due to the mobilization of the official.
