The exhibition of the 13th stage of the Art Marathon “Generation of War” started in Kyiv before the Independence Day of Ukraine. About this reported press service of the Association for the Development of International Relations ADRUM.
The exposition presents the works of the winners of the XVI International Art Festival MALYUY.UA. Artists of different generations – from children to the elderly – from Ukraine, Israel, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland showed their works.
The exhibition is located in the open air in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation of the capital (Volodymyrsky Uzviz, 2), near the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People. It is open 24 hours a day until October 1, except for curfews.
The “Generation of War” art marathon began in December 2023 and will continue until the end of the war. Its goal is to become art therapy for Ukrainians, to collect artistic evidence of the war experience and convey it to the world community, calling for support for Ukraine. The project involves both Ukrainians who have been living under shelling in their cities and villages for the fourth year, as well as internally displaced persons, forced migrants abroad, as well as artists from other countries, which symbolizes international solidarity.
Since the beginning of the art marathon, more than a thousand artists from 20 countries have joined it, including Ukraine, the USA, Canada, Albania, Montenegro, Romania, Poland, Latvia, France and others. The initiative is a component of the MALYUY.UA.WAR International Art Festival, which has been ongoing since the full-scale invasion, reflecting the transformation of the social consciousness of different generations during wartime.
During this period, more than 60 exhibitions and events of cultural diplomacy were held in 17 countries of the world, including the USA, Switzerland, the Vatican, Japan, China, Poland and Argentina.
The organizers are the Association for the Development of International Relations ADRUM and the STUDIORAR company, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Kyiv City Administration.
