The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine warned Iran about the consequences of a possible transfer of missiles to Russia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summoned Iran’s temporary representative in Ukraine, Shahriyar Amuzeghar, due to reports of possible deliveries of ballistic missiles to Russia. As informs the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the representative of Iran expressed serious concern about these accusations.
Amuzegar was warned that if the facts of the supply of ballistic weapons to Russia are confirmed, it will have “devastating and irreparable consequences” for relations between Ukraine and Iran.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated that Tehran does not take part in the Russian-Ukrainian war and supports the political settlement of the conflict. However, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Bakhshaish Ardestani, admitted that the country is “forced” to barter with Russia, exchanging missiles and drones for soybeans and wheat.
Prerequisites of the conflict
The Wall Street Journal, citing European and American officials, reported that Iran had already sent short-range ballistic missiles to Russia. These deliveries took place during the period of increased Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure facilities.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expressed serious concern about the transfer of missiles by Iran and called on the Iranian authorities to refrain from such actions. Earlier, in August, Reuters reported with reference to European intelligence that Iran may transfer hundreds of Fath-360 satellite-guided missiles to Russia.
