Ukraine and China signed an agreement to expand Ukrainian exports

Ukraine has signed an important agreement with the People’s Republic of China, which defines the veterinary, sanitary and phytosanitary requirements for the export to China of wild-caught aquatic products, in particular fish and seafood, as well as peas. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
This agreement was the result of active cooperation between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the State Production and Consumer Service, Ukrainian agricultural associations and the General Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China. An important role in the negotiation process was played by the Embassy of China in Ukraine and its head, Ma Shenkun.
“The launch of Ukrainian agricultural exports to the Chinese market is a strategic step to strengthen the economy and expand the geography of supplies. China is one of the world’s largest importers of agricultural products, and the opening of new opportunities for Ukrainian producers will allow not only to increase foreign exchange earnings, but also to establish Ukraine as a reliable supplier of quality agricultural products on the international market.
I am sure that we have laid a solid foundation for expanding cooperation, because the last contract with China was signed 5 years ago. Let’s continue to work together.” – stressed the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitaliy Koval.
