Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev announced the critical situation with the financing of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. According to him, the budget deficit reaches hundreds of billions of hryvnias, and the only real source of covering these costs is taxes.
This was reported by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev Banking Forum from EP.
“In fact, we have a catastrophic situation in terms of funding for security and defense. We have a huge hole in the budget, and it’s probably not tens of millions, it’s hundreds of millions. It’s hundreds of billions that we have to raise“, he said.
