Ukraine will limit the import of Indian fuel
The import of diesel fuel (DP) from India to Ukraine will be limited: all batches of the Indian resource must undergo the procedure of selection and laboratory analysis of samples. This is reported by Enkorr.
“The Security Service of Ukraine sent a corresponding request to the address of Energy Customs. According to information, the restrictions will come into effect on October 1, the message says.
The sanctions will operate on a principle similar to the restrictions imposed in September 2023 on diesel fuel from Turkey. Then, by the decision of the National Security Council, a number of Turkish ports, which received significant volumes of Russian DP, were included in the list of risky, and all batches coming from them were subject to additional inspection, in particular laboratory inspection.
Interviewed Romanian traders believe that after the introduction of the ban on the import of Indian fuel, the demand for other southern destinations will increase the most.
“Partly we will supply from the Mediterranean, but the main source will be the Middle East. But, obviously, the premiums for the following periods will be much higher ”, Oscar Downstream notes.
In August, the supply of diesel fuel to Constanta from Italy and Saudi Arabia also began to resume. The last time fuel came from these countries was in the autumn of last year.
