JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” together with partners, has prepared 100 autonomous “Indestructible Wagons”, which will operate as mobile heating, communication, and support points for communities in different regions of the country. This was announced during the presentation by the head of passenger communications of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Oleksandr Shevchenko.
According to him, 100 passenger cars that were not previously used were restored to implement the initiative.
“They are equipped with generators for constant power supply, portable chargers and other necessary things for a comfortable stay. These cars will be used throughout Ukraine”, – Shevchenko noted.
The company clarified that the converted cars function as fully autonomous hubs. Inside, heating systems, generators, portable charging stations, refrigerators, microwaves, and Starlink kits are installed, which ensure stable communication even in the absence of electricity.
Special attention has been paid to conditions for children and people with pets: the cars are equipped with children’s compartments with play sets, books, educational materials, and a cartoon zone, as well as special areas for staying with pets.
Each of the “Indestructibility Wagons” can be quickly transferred to the region where the need arises. For this, local authorities or military administrations should contact JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” with a corresponding application, after which the number of cars and their location are determined.
Olexander Shevchenko also emphasized that the company did not spend its own funds on the arrangement of heating points, as the project was implemented thanks to the sponsorship support of partners.
