Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared his readiness to fix the front line in its current state

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Kyiv will never recognize the occupied territories as part of Russia. At the same time, he noted that he would agree to fix the front line in its current state in the event of a ceasefire tomorrow. Zelensky told this in an Axios interview to journalist Barak Ravid, answering questions about possible territorial concessions for the sake of peace.

We will never recognize the occupied territories as Russian. This is impossible, – stressed the President of Ukraine.

At the same time, he explained that in the event of a ceasefire, if it is not possible to restore control over all territories by force, Ukraine is ready to temporarily postpone this issue and resolve it later through diplomatic means.

“This will be a compromise that will make it possible to avoid new victims and solve problems through dialogue”, Zelenskyy added.

Let us remind you that on September 23, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the President of the United States Donald Trump met in New York during the UN General Assembly. They discussed the situation at the front, the exchange of prisoners of war and sanctions against Russia.
