Beating of a military man in Dnipro: Deputy Tyshchenko was charged with suspicion

The Prosecutor General of Ukraine informed the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Mykola Tyshchenko about the suspicion based on the submission of the State Bureau of Investigation. Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the fact of the illegal deprivation of liberty of a former serviceman in Dnipro.

We will remind, on June 20, 2024 in Dnipro, a group of persons, acting on the order of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, illegally deprived a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of his liberty. During a certain period, he was detained, inflicting physical injuries. The investigation established that this crime was committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy with the use of physical force and special means.

The deputy was charged with unlawful deprivation of liberty of the victim (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Procedural management of the case is carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The day before, representatives of the SBI conducted searches at the home of the people’s representative. Cash and valuables were taken.

The fact that Tyshchenko and his bodyguards committed illegal actions against the military caused a wide resonance and condemnation in society.

In the declaration for 2023, Tyshchenko stated that he and his ex-wife have $335,000, almost 19 million hryvnias and 22,000 euros in cash.

The Prosecutor General’s Office has already agreed to the request for a preventive measure in the form of 24-hour house arrest for the elected People’s Deputy.
