NBU imposed fines on Oschadbank, as well as Poroshenko and Tigipko banks

In December 2025, the National Bank of Ukraine imposed penalties on five banks for violating the requirements of financial monitoring and currency legislation. This was reported by the NBU press service.

The largest penalty was imposed on JSC “International Investment Bank”, owned by Petro Poroshenko. The regulator imposed a fine of UAH 13.51 million for improper application of a risk-based approach and shortcomings in customer due diligence. Separately, the bank was fined another UAH 1 million for violations in the field of currency supervision, in particular due to untimely provision of information and documents in response to NBU requests.

A fine of UAH 10 million was received by JSC Taskombank, owned by Serhiy Tigipko. The reason was improper fulfillment of the obligation to apply a risk-based approach in the bank’s activities.

The state-owned Oschadbank was fined UAH 5.5 million, and JSC Motor-Bank was fined UAH 3 million. The smallest fine, UAH 200,000, was imposed by the regulator on “JSC “Clearing House””, associated with Yulia Lyovochkina.

In addition, the National Bank of Ukraine applied a measure of influence in the form of a written warning to “JSC “Ukrposhta”” due to identified violations of legislation in the payment market.
