The Ministry of Defense has completed the codification of an individual mine clearance kit of domestic production
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially codified an individual kit for detection, marking and demining, manufactured by a Ukrainian enterprise from domestic components. About this reported press service of the department.
The development of this set took into account the difficult conditions in which the Ukrainian military works, various types of terrain, as well as the presence of traps that the Russian occupiers leave when mining territories.
“When creating this set of demining, domestic developers relied on the experience of foreign partners, as well as on the unique experience of Ukrainian defenders, gained in the course of repelling a large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation,” – emphasized the Ministry of Defense.
To create this specialized set, the developers analyzed samples of similar individual sets used in the armies of other countries and took into account the requests of Ukrainian soldiers.
What is included in the set
According to the information of the Ministry of Defense, each set includes more than ten items that are necessary to perform the tasks of detecting and marking explosive objects. The kit includes a compact miner’s probe made of dielectric material, a reusable “cat” for trawling “stretchers”, paracord cord, sets for checking fuses and detonators, fluorescent light sources for night marking and other important tools.
Several hundred such sets have already been given to various units of the Defense Forces free of charge for use in real conditions.
