The Supervisory Board of PJSC “Ukrnafta” decided to appoint Yuriy Tkachuk, Financial Director, as acting General Director of the company. He will temporarily head the country’s largest oil production company until a decision is made on a permanent manager. About this reported press service of the enterprise.
The company emphasizes that Yuriy Tkachuk is well acquainted with the internal processes of Ukrnafta and the strategic priorities of its development. Thanks to this, it will be possible to ensure stability in management, continuity of operational activity and implementation of key initiatives. Before his appointment, Tkachuk held the position of financial director of the company.
We will remind you that on the 13th, Serhii Koretskyi stopped performing the duties of the head of the companies “Ukrnafta” and “Ukrtatnafta”. From May 14, 2025, he holds the position of chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine. He was presented to the employees of Naftogaz of Ukraine by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He thanked Koretskyi for his effective work as the head of Ukrnafta. The Prime Minister also outlined the strategic directions in the field of energy security of Ukraine and the list of priority tasks facing Naftogaz.
Among them are proper preparation for the heating season so that all Ukrainians are provided with light and heat, the accumulation of a sufficient volume of gas in underground storage for the autumn-winter period, the prompt restoration of the infrastructure of the gas industry damaged as a result of Russian shelling, the increase of domestic gas production to meet national needs, as well as the further development of distributed generation, which will reduce losses from attacks and provide the country’s energy sector with new resources.
